TOC-Lean for Business Process Development and Flow Management

The ability to develop robust, effective business processes has never been more critical for almost any type of organisation: whether it is for profit or not-for-profit, service or manufacturing, the same need applies.

The TOC-Lean approach has been developed over the past few years into one of the most powerful combinations of major tools and techniques, and when combined with a ruthless approach to the eradication of defects through techniques such as Six Sigma the effects are dramatic. Using the focusing approach known as the Five Steps of Focusing, any flow system can be analysed and through the identification of the constraint, improved. Problems affecting flow are addressed through the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools, thus ensuring that flow is not only maintained, but enhanced.

Within constraint management, based on the work of Dr Goldratt, there is a range of developed and proven solutions - listed below - addressing issues of strategic development and flow management. Often it requires someone with a fresh eye to come into the business to give guidance on which solution/s will most benefit the organisation in question. To this end, we offer The Jonah Day, whereby your company will benefit from the services of an expert TOC trouble-shooter.
Following on from this, the intensive 8-day Breaking the Cash Constraint process goes even more deeply into the organisation's core issues and produces an outline strategy and implementation plan.

We provide a combination of education and training at all levels, both in-company and at our training centre in Melton Mowbray. These ensure the proper transfer of knowledge within the organisation and the ability to use that knowledge to improve bottom-line performance, implement solutions and achieve both growth and stability.

I & J Munn Ltd is a Microsoft re-seller and we also recognise that many of our implementations require aspects of core Microsoft products, for example MS Project for Critical Chain.
