I & J Munn are a recognised education and training centre for Theory of Constraints (TOC) applications such as Drum – Buffer – Rope (DBR) applied within operations management (see the book 'The Goal' by Dr Eli Goldratt) and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) - see the book 'Critical Chain', again by Dr Goldratt. We run a variety of courses, seminars and workshops all focused on the transfer of TOC knowledge and also on how this approach links with Lean and Six Sigma.

All of our training is in line with the requirements of the International Certification body TOCICO and therefore can be used as preparation for sitting the relevant TOCICO examinations. It is hoped that during 2009 the new NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques will also include TOC applications and once more our training will cover the necessary knowledge and skills.

Our training programmes, promoted via the TOC-Lean Institute, include day or half-day seminars which use the Goldratt Insight programme. We also run two day workshops which include practical exercises, presentations and debate about the applications and how they can be used to address core issues within any business and lead to a bottom-line improvement. This is usually centred around the application of the TOC Five Focusing Steps.
