That’s a question we often hear. Often, it’s not that the team members are under-performing, it’s
just that they are not functioning as a team.
Everyone is working hard, but not always in the same direction!
If the goal of the team is undefined or roles not clearly delineated, then both team creativity and
productivity suffer. There are often disagreements and issues that remain unresolved for some time, so
relationships are under pressure and sometimes broken. Meeting deadlines in such circumstances can be
nigh impossible.
This is a familiar scenario for all too many teams and often the way forward is not to re-shuffle the
team members, but to develop the original group of people into a cohesive team.
We have found that taking a group through our training programmes shifts the whole group of people
up a gear – they become a team in the true sense of the word.
We use a variety of means to achieve this, from a simple one day session including outside activities
to a full five-day training schedule spread over several weeks. All of these programmes are based
on the approach developed in course leader Dr Ted Hutchin's forthcoming book,
"The Right Choice: Using Theory of Constraints for Effective
Leadership".
Use the links on the right for full details about each of our team development programmes; whilst these are
offered as open programmes, they can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
